In 2003, the Foundation began its scholarship program by awarding four $500 scholarships to Idaho Golf Association Juniors entering their freshmen year of college. The Cody Hayes Memorial Golf Scholarship was established through the Foundation to honor the memory of Idaho Golf Association Junior member Cody Hayes who was tragically killed as he returned home from the IGAJ State Junior Championship in Idaho Falls in August of 2002.

Hayes is remembered as a great student and all around athlete who exemplified the true spirit of sportsmanship, integrity, and honor. He was respected and admired by all who came in contact with him. It is only fitting that the Foundation names its scholarship fund after Cody to perpetuate the memory of this fine young man.
